Ear candling is not recommended. The procedures uses a hollow cone that is made from paraffin and beeswax with a cloth on the end, which is tapered. The tapered end is placed inside the ear, and a companion lights the other end. They should be monitoring the procedure to ensure your hair does not catch on fire. As the flame burns, in theory a vacuum is creased, which is supposed to dtaw the wax out of the ear. Clinical trials, have shown that no vacuum was created and no wax was removed. Furthermore, this procedure can cause serious injury.
